Connecting two LED Driver output in parallel

Greeting to all !

                        I have query regarding LED Driver Output connection.what are the pros and cons for connecting two LED Driver's Output in parallel to drive one COB.

Hi,

I don't see much advantage for using two LED drivers in parallel to drive one COB unless the driver cannot handle the power and it is required to use two to meet the power requirements.

There's a lot of cons such as higher BOM cost, possible imbalance current sharing, and it may also trigger fault protection

such as OCP if for instance, one driver starts-up faster than the other.

Unless the driver can't handle the power, or if there is any other reason why you will use two drivers,then it is preferrable to use only one LED driver.
