I'm working on a Home Automation project and today I come across Power Line Technology which also can be used for Home Automation.

So I want to know the concept of that technology and how it works,how can it control the appliances, and how it is efficient compared to Wireless Communication.

I've gone through Google but haven't found exact explanation of that technology.

Help me through this.
