High power source, 0-100V, 6Amps

Posted by: Calleb on

Hello,

I am contacting you regarding a specific power supply design. I have quite strict and high requirements for the power source meaning that it must be adjustable from 0 to approx. 100V with output current about 6 Amps or more. I would like to know what is in the Power Integrations AC/DC portfolio (TFS764HG maybe) to make this power source possible. The max. value of the output current is usually for only a 10-20sec or so and than the power source rests. I have some idea how to make it as a linear power source with multiple winding transformer (reconnected by the MCU according to set up output voltage) and an output amplifier but this solution is quite big and expensive.

Thank you very much for your reply.

you can consider the biggest part from TFS family. either TFS764 or TFS7708 as TFS2 family. the front page of TFS2 list the power table and applied conditions. If it does not work for your project, then we don't have suitble device can deliver more than that.
