Electrical requirements in North America

Posted by: uzico on

Hello,

I may be out of place here but i'll try.

My company develops a system that currently works on 220v/50hz and consume ~4000W.

I would like to adapt the system to NA but with that kind of power 110V is out of question (too high current).

I understand that there are other >200v options in the US (208v, 230v, 240v), however these will work with 60hz.

so my questions are:

1- what is the common electrical outlet for high power systems (even a laundry dryer consumes 3000W)?

2- what are my options as for frequency change from 50 to 60 hz

3- what UPS is capable of holding a 4000W system?

Thanks in advance to all replies!
