Need 14Vdc 150A power supply.

Posted by: Vitor Lima on

Hello all.
I sell a 2kW power supply for automotive sound. It's input is 220Vac and output is 14Vdc 120A (150A max).
Today I buy wasted nobreakes transformers, big rectifiers and huge capacitors. It works, it's cheap, but has no quality.
I'd like to have a better product.
I am familiar with power supplies but don't know how to start in order to build a so big one.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks for attention.

Hi Vitor Lima,

It seems you have a large output power requirement. How did you do your current design? Is it just step down transformer then rectifier and then filter with capacitor? Can you share with me your schematic?

Are you familiar with Switch Mode Power Supply and different topologies for you to design a power supply?

We have tools for our customers on helping design their power supply with our products but our portfolio is focus on chargers, adapter, and power supply in the range of up to around 500W for different applications. For the sake of how to start and design power supply, you can visit below link and try the PI-expert tools. Thank you.
