200Vcc, 5A output and 240Vac+/-10% Input

Posted by: garfield0116 on

Hello,
I need to design this power supply with following specs
Input Voltage : 240VAC +/-10 %
Output Voltage : 200Vcc up to 5Amp
I don't think need require power factor correction.
This power supply it's used before a H-bridge.

Any help is really appreciated.
Thank you

Hi garfield0116,

Thank you for your interest of using Power Integrations' part.
Is it really 200V you needed as input for your H-bridge? Is your H-bridge for DC-DC application or motor drive application? It is typically 380V-420V in typical power supply design to have good efficiency in general. If 200V output is what you really need from 240Vac input, unfortunately we don't have solution for that. Our Hiper-LCS can do that but limited with power capability. Use a buck-boost design instead with input from rectified 240Vac input. Use discrete design or you can check for other vendors who are capable of your requirement. Thank you.

For 200V at 1kW, from 230-240Vac mains - do you require isolated? a sepic could be made to work here for non-isolated, else a simple hard switched 1/2 or full bridge at 70kHz say for fully isolated - we have many designs that would fit the bill here...

all the best - EP.
