Need expert advice

Hi, we are starting the development of a 400W, 230v input, 24V output supply.

Please guide me about the most efficient and racional aproach, because I can't decide about the IC to use.

These are the caracteristics needed:

input: 190 to 260 VAC

freq: 50Hz

PFC: yes (0.98/0.99)

power: 400W

output:  2 versions, one 14Vcc and another 24Vcc

IP67, epoxi encapsulated

thermal target average 55/60°C (on 25°C ambient)

Also, derived from this supply would be a smaller version (250W) so a basic compatibility on components is a must (for production line)

If the  peripheral components could be trough hole, would be great, we prefer that to SMD

We decided to buy the mangnetics samples from you (rapid transformer service) and production from one of your partners.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I would recommend you to use the following devices

for 400W you can use the following devices

PFC Stage : PFS725EG

DC/DC Stage: LCS708HG

for 250W you can replace the devices with following

PFC Stage : PFS724EG

DC/DC Stage: LCS703HG

Trnasformer samples you can order through PI website.

Regards,
