LYTSwitch-5 BP-Pin current for ext. circuit

Posted by: Neding on

Hi everybody,

I don‘t understand the data in the datasheet of LYTSwitch-5.

Actually I want to supply an ext. circuit using the voltage from BP-Pin.

But what is the max. current can be taken from BP-Pin for an ext. circuit?

There are 3 current data referring to BP-Pin but it is difficult to classify that information.

Why it can’t just be written “can supply up to XY mA for ext. circuitry”?

hi Neding,

If you look at most LYT_5 schematic, you'll notice that BP pin is the one being supplied current to, not the other way around in which it supplies the current.

Please use bias winding if you need an external voltage supply.
