Flyback Seconday feedback topology Vs. Primary-side control LED driver switch

Posted by: praveen.sahu on

Hi All,

Please can someone help with the query:

Why should one go with Flyback Seconday feedback /isolated topology using LNK and LYT Switches when we can go for Primay Feed back topology with Two windings - primary-side control LED driver switch using LIS8156. The cost of component and size comes down drastically.

Thanks in advance

hi,

Most, if not all of our LYTSwitch drivers such as LYT-4, LYT5, LNK-PH are primary-side control in which the feedback is not taken from the secondary and require an opto-coupler if the design has to be an isolated flyback.
