1W Power Supply - Please Review

Posted by: tylerjbrooks on

I need a 1W power supply much like the one shown in Design Example DI-138. Specifically, I need the following:
VCC = 20mA @ 15V
VEE = 80mA @ 3.3V
VSS = 20mA @ -15V

My power supply design is attached.

I am just wondering two things:
1) Is this the right approach for a low cost, dual rail 1W power supply? Is there another technique I should look at?

2) Can you suggest any improvements or cost savings to this design?

This looks like an optimal design -- I can't suggest any improvements

Thankyou for the feedback Surak.

Two last question:
1) No spice model for the LNK305 ? Why not? It would allow me to experiment without having to build up the circuit.

2) Could I reference this power supply to 'hot' instead of neutral? (this is where a spice model would help because I could just try).
