12V/5A 60W Power Supply using LNK6667E

Hi,
We needed a Universal AC input(90-265VAC) to 12V/5A(60W) DC converter for our Battery charger design.
ExcelPoint shared a design with LNK6667E for the same.
But the AC input mentioned in the design spec was 120–265VAC.
We would like to have the universal AC input(90-265VAC).
Please advise us what all changes are to be made in the design to support this.
Also, is there any option to use general transformers other than custom ones which are readily available.

Hi Emil,
Attached here is the revised design using LNK6766E.
The transformer design will be different to have it work at 90Vac-265Vac.
If you want to use general transformer, it will need more time to analyze if that can work in our design since we need to evaluate if it has enough margin from getting saturated. Also, the transformer turns ratio can be a factor for the design to operate.
