InnoSwitch-ep 900V Transformer design

Posted by: Raymond Shea on

I'm designing a power supply with 3 outputs and an input of 100VAC to 484VAC. The 3 outputs are 12VDC@1A, 5VDC@1A,and 12VDC@1A. I been able to design it using PIX's Designer. Which does not reference a schematic. But my question is the transformer secondary design it generated. It starts with 6 turns to a tap for 5V then 7 turns to a tap for the first 12V and then 1 turn to end for the second 12V. I understand the first taps but it the 1 turn tap that thoughs me off. I was expecting another winding of 13 turns for the second 12V output not a 1 turn winding at the top of the first 12V winding.
I have attached a copy of the design.

Hi rshea,

Thank you for choosing PI product on your design. We ran through the attached file and checked the secondary design parameters. As per the attached file, the design calls for separate windings on each output as follows: 12V - 16Turns, 5V - 8Turns, 12V-16Turns.

Can you send to us the tap winding design generated? Thank you.

Best Regards,
