Output limit 100v ?

Posted by: smi-pp on
Hi, i have two qwuestions to you: 1. Why is output linited by 100 V in PIExpert7.0? If I use this value in my project, can I increase output up 110v on real projects? 2.It is recomended to use output filter Low ESR condensators, but these 100V tantalum condensators isn"t exist. Could I use the aluminium electrolitic condensators? Have effect on project? I am sorry, i am not good in English )))

Output is limited to 100 V because around that voltage the reverse recovery time of the output diode starts becoming too big... However, you may use PIXls to do a 110 V design.
YOu dont need tantalum capacitors , low esr (or super low ESR) Al Electrolytics will do.
