Help choosing best PI chip for LED driver

2 posts / 0 new

Hello,

I've taken an in-depth look at what PI has to offer for LED drivers and am somewhat overwhelmed by all of the options.

What I'm looking for is a topology that will drive a Cree CXA1512 or similar (40V, 350mA, ~12W) by constant current.

I'd like the design to be as bare-bones (low component count) as possible. High efficiency or PFC is not required. Good response to TRIAC dimming is a must. If it requires a transformer or other magnetics, I need them to be cheap (<$50) in small quantites. Small footprint is also a priority.

Would anyone be able to recommend a PI technology?

Thanks in advance!
