Noise Interferece in Radios

Posted by: RVA15 on
Hello, I designed a SMPS using LNK500. It´s input is 85-240Vac and the output is 12Vdc/100mA. Recently I received a complain about a customer that could no longer listen his radio when such power supply was switched on. He has this problem even when his radio is about 100m far away from the SMPS. Do you think that a such ow power SMPS could cause this interference? If yes, what could I do to reduce the radiated noise of this power supply? Folows attached the layout of my power supply. Best Regards, Ricardo

Try adding a 1nf Y type capacitor from secondary return to primary return.
