CV/CC mode does not create CV/CC feedback circuit

Posted by: martin.mekatronika on
I have noticed that in PI expert when choosing CV/CC mode as opposed to just CV mode the resultant feedback schematic is identical to CV. There is no current sense resistor or resistor calculations for the current sense with regards to the CC threshold. This does not seem normal to me. Is there a bug in the application?

You are right. The software does not calculate the value of current sense resistor. It only accounts for the voltage drop and power loss in the resistor while designing the transformer turns and gap.
You can calculate the value of resistor as 1V / rated current if you are using the circuit similar to the one used in DER-135
